CREATURES

Our collaborators range from freshmen to graduates, each with their own distinct interests and creative styles. We work with them to bring their visions to life, whether it is developing new ideas, guiding their formatting process, or handling printing and other logistics involved in the creation of new or old works!

GOH CHENG HAO

Cheng Hao is interested in archiving personal narratives and experiences. So much of memory is lost to our devices, stored and documented in photos and videos, in effortless, convenient digital repositories. The present is supplanted by its digital self and experiences are flattened, compressed, catalogued, stripped of physicality. Cheng Hao seeks to reverse the flattening of the digital screen through tactile, analog practices, revisiting handiwork and touch. We’ve been taught that repetition is tedious, inefficient, but on the flip side, if it’s anything time-consuming…he’s interested! As a result, he can never settle on a damn medium. Jumping from medium to medium- textile, printmaking, 3D, getting bored of one and returning full force months later- one thread remains the same- texture. Still struggling to find his niche, his work displays an earnest desire to make art that is retrospective and fun.

ISHA WANG

Isha (she/they) is a member of Twitter academia first and story artist second. They are currently studying at the University of Southern California, majoring in Animation and minoring in East Asian Languages and Cultures. While digital art is their primary playhouse, they are also interested in implementing multimedia and traditional mediums. And of course...zines! They would love to make more comics in the future, especially about their hyperfixations.

YUKI KUROHANA

A curious soul and a challenger of norms, Yuki loves to explore "taboo" topics despite her innocent demeanour. She claims her naive "xiao mei mei" face dissolves tension, easily allowing many to open up to her projects. She is often seen lost in thoughts of "why" and "what ifs". All she needs is sea and sky.
